Less about the soccer and more about being a Portland Timbers fan.

I saw an ad on social media for what looked like some customized Nike Air Jordans, and perhaps they actually are legit shoes, even though the word “Nike” is not in the actual product listing. One of them even has the swoosh. I thought those tow pairs were cool in theory, if not a little bit heavy handed for me. Then came the knock off clogs… yikes. How many other bad, Timbers-themed shoes can you but? At least 20. I stopped scrolling. Pitchside Gear offers all kinds of MLS licensed items, not just shoes. All of it with the same generic feel.

I’m not a sneaker head, so don’t get on me if I labeled these wrong. I don’t know what the legality of this is. Again, they don’t say Nike in the listing, but they do have common nomenclature like “AF1 Low”, and then there are the “leather Martin.” boots… There’s even a 3 stripe shoe in there. These don’t appear to be hand customized at all, and rather, digitally printed somehow. That’s if they even exist at an all! Some are obviously AI generated. When I went to sort by club, I chose Atlanta United to see if the designs repeated (not really) and some random Timbers items came up in that view.
